The state of Michigan has finally put to rest the Granholm debacle with its 48th Governor Rick Snyder being sworn-in yesterday. He issued this statement.
“We need to move from negative to positive. We need to stop looking in the rearview mirror and look toward the future. We need to stop being divisive and become inclusive,” Snyder said after taking his oath from state Supreme Court Chief Justice Marilyn Kelly.
I would say yes and no. Yes we certainly need to move forward. But we can’t just ignore the past as if it never existed. Particularly if you are a resident of the city of Detroit. The last half-century of the failed democrat socialist experiment should be discussed. You need to ensure that the citizens of Detroit and all of Michigan understand why we are where we are. It’s not because we just went through a recession or because GM and Chrysler failed and went bankrupt. It’s been a slow, steady erosion of a once vibrant city. It’s been a concerted effort to force the welfare experiment on the residents. It’s a classic example of why the democrat model of governance is a complete failure. We must use history as our guide in order to prevent destroying the city or the state any longer.
Check out this collection of photos depicting real evidence of what allowing socialism and the democrats in charge will most certainly lead to.

This is your city on socialism.
