The status quo remains in effect as far as unemployment. The rate dropped allowing Obama and the left to claim progress. However, the devil is in the details. Only 103,000 new private sector jobs is a loss. It takes thousands more than that simply to keep up with our countries expansion rate. So, once again, we see more proof that the democrat policies are not leading to ANY job growth. There must be at least triple this amount to begin reducing the unemployment rate and getting people back to work.

But you say the rate dropped .4%? Isn’t that proof that Obama has us going in the right direction? Absolutely not. Remember, this was also during the holiday hiring season. No, the real truth is that 260,000 more people simply gave up looking for a job. That’s why the rate dropped. That’s two and a half times as many as found work. For every private sector job Obama’s trillions in spending has created, two and a half more people simply said screw it and just gave up even looking. Now that is the most telling detail to come out of the jobs report. Even during the holiday hiring season, the policies of the left are a failure.

  1. Well, to be fair, any sitting President would try to spin it their way. But you’re right, why let a little thing like the truth get in the way.

  2. Don’t you just love how these reports are all manipulated to make them look as good as possible? Who says the numbers don’t lie?
