Add Miami to the list – updated 2/18/13
Armaggedon? Mayans a little off on their timing? Maybe it’s karma as the good Lord above us throws a few pebbles our way for our transgressions? Scientists wil say this stuff happens all the time but due to social media and things like dash cams, we simply notice more often these days. Unless you happen to be part of a committed leftist organization like CNN, then you blame it on global warming.
Is this leap just a little too far? Not when you consider Bush was blamed for Hurricane Katrina.
Obama is a devotee as well. He made this statement during his recent State of the Union address.
“Some may still deny the overwhelming judgment of science, but none can avoid the devastating impact of raging fires and crippling drought and more powerful storms.”
The overwhelming judgment of science? I would say the overwhelming pressure from special interest groups may be more appropriate, wouldn’t you say Mr. President? Regardless, climate change is back on the front burner for Obama’s second term.
One wonders how long it will be before the “overwhelming” judgment of scientists tell us that cap and trade is the answer to stop the onslaught of meteors and comets?
You may recall it was none other than John Dingell (D-MI) that admitted that cap and trade would be a “big tax”.
President Obama says “make no mistake, this is a jobs bill”. Here is his pitch filled with promises of grandeur. Just listen to how many times he says there is no longer a question or no longer a debate.
We’ve already heard him say that electricity rates will “necessarily skyrocket”.
With all the “skyrockets” in the air lately, it’s only a matter of time before the climate change lobby adds celestial events to the ever-growing list of effects from the insatiable lust for fossil fuel from Republicans. Would’ve ever thought a Prius would save the planet from another dinosaur extinction event? http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/images/yucatan.html
