Did Obama cave to Castro? Or is Cuba simply a chess move in the game against the Bear?

Yesterday, Dec. 17th, Spellchek weighed in on the Obama-Castro alliance and asked ‘why now’? – https://spellchek.wordpress.com/2014/12/17/obama-embraces-cuba-should-we-wonder-why-now/

Well, it didn’t take long to get an answer. We got our answer the same day. Bill Gertz from Inside the Ring.

Months before President Obama announced on Wednesday that he is seeking to do away with decades of U.S. economic sanctions against the communist regime in Cuba, Russia concluded a security deal with Havana aimed at bolstering intelligence and military ties to the island dictatorship.

The Russia-Cuba agreement was announced May 16 when a memorandum was signed in Moscow establishing a joint working group between Russia’s Security Council and the Cuban Commission for National Security and Defense.

The security agreement comes amid fresh U.S. intelligence agency concerns that Russia is taking steps to follow through on plans to conduct strategic nuclear bomber flights over the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea, possibly with the help of Cuba and Venezuela.

In July, Russian news outlets reported that Cuba had agreed to re-open the Soviet-era electronic listening post at Lourdes, Cuba. The facility, which spied on U.S. communications in the southern United States, was closed after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. Mr. Putin later denied the spy post was being reopened.

This one was pretty easy to see through. It’s all about Russia. Obama can spin his b.s. all day long about normalizing relations simply because “it’s time”, but this is absolutely a strategic national defense initiative.

Obama embraces Cuba – should we wonder why now?

US, Cuba seek to normalize relations after Alan Gross released – http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/12/17/american-alan-gross-released-from-cuban-prison-official-says/

The Obama administration is moving to normalize diplomatic relations with Cuba and open an embassy in Havana, after American Alan Gross was released from the communist country Wednesday following five years in prison.

As always with the regime in charge, one must question the true motivations behind any actions. Is President Obama merely embracing a fellow communist? Why now? Is he doing some legacy building to forever be seen as the man who accomplished what no other for the past half-century could accomplish? Why now? Is he practicing some good, old-fashioned crony corporatism to reward some donors and get those fabulous Cuban cigars back on the market? Why now? Has he put in motion a plan to eventually annex Cuba and bring on-board some more democrat voters? Why now?

As you can see, the key question to ask here is why now? The Obama Administration has dabbled in easing the blockade and travel and trade restrictions for years. Nothing was stopping him from doing it for the past 6 years. What could have changed here recently that finally motivated the President to pull the trigger? Could it be as innocent as saving Alan Gross?

Recent history says not likely. After all, didn’t Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi just spend 214 days in a Mexican jail for essentially no reason without a peep from the regime? It took a trio of Governors working with the Mexican Attorney General to make the release happen.

So compassion hardly seems like a motivating factor. What other factor may have influenced Obama to act? Could it be this one?

Russia ‘to reopen Lourdes spy base in Cuba’http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-28338996

Now there’s a money maker Obama can get behind. He gets headlines for gutting our military on a daily basis, yet his foreign policy actions have left no doubt that he is a military-industrial-corporatism complex slappy. Since those pesky Russkies clearly have the tactical and logistical advantages in military maneuvers in Ukraine, allowing them to reestablish another just 90 miles from home is simply intolerable. Subterfuge is just so much easier when we can operate freely right on the Cuban peninsula.

Is the Spellchek staff creating a conspiracy where none existed? Is it just coincidence? Do our satellite spying capabilities make any such actions irrelevant? If true, then why does Russia feel it advantageous to shake the mothballs off Lourdes?

Now I understand that Obama needs no real reason at all to embrace yet another Communist regime that practices State sponsored terrorism. But you really have to ask why now? Keeping a close eye on Russia answers a lot of questions.

Statistics to tell you what you already know

Median household income peaked at least 15 years ago in 81 percent of U.S. counties. That means that when incomes are adjusted for inflation, most middle class households are actually earning less money than they did years ago. Even though the economy is finally revving up, most Americans still don’t see the benefits in their paychecks.

Does it feel as if the economic recovery has passed you by? For most Americans, it has. Check out your county.

This is the result of one party rule and guess what? You weren’t invited to the party.

Doesn’t that make you feel much better about Barry? Don’t feel bad that the euphoric state the rest of the world is in thanks to Barry has passed you by because your wages have declined while the cost of living continues to march upward, your hours have dropped, your health costs have risen or that your savings account pays you nothing. Don’t bitch about the House of Saud manipulating oil production to crash prices in an attack on fracking. Or that ISIS is mailing back severed heads of Americans as they and the Taliban expand their influence throughout the vacuum of freedom left behind from Barry the Nobel Peace Prize winner as he vacates war fronts around the globe. Pay no attention to the record number of Americans not even looking for a job or working part-time while we still wait with baited breath for the 4 million jobs Nancy Pelosi promised us the instant Obamacare was implemented. Fear not that the NSA keeps tabs on the dental records of the skeletons in your closet while the most transparent administration in history can’t even come clean on what our Commander-in-Chief was doing while Americans were being slaughtered in Benghazi.

Thanks Chris, you’re a real trooper. Don’t let the truth get in the way of a good tweet. Keep stocked up on kool-aid and rose colored glasses.

The ASL convenes its latest meeting

A shadowy, secretive organization just conducted their latest meetings at the Naval Heritage Center in Washington, D.C. on Dec.8-9th. Don’t feel bad if you haven’t heard a thing about it. They are under a mass media gag order.

Is it the Bilderbergs? The Knights Templar? Maybe the Illuminati? Sorry, nothing as sexy as that. Instead, it was the Assembly of State Legislatures (ASL).

Who the heck are they? They are the group behind the Article V movement to convene a convention to propose Amendments to the Constitution of the United States. And no they aren’t at all a secret society. It’s just that the Federal Government and their media lapdogs wish to suppress any information concerning Article V.

You’d think the American people would get a clue someday. Take our latest sham election. The GOP gains were a resounding success! A public repudiation of Obama and his policies! The GOP will now have the muscle required to reverse Obamacare and stop amnesty.

Seriously? I don’t think we made it through 24 hours of the news cycle before republicans were back-tracking and looking for ways to back out of their election promises. The 2016 election will be more of the same. Yet we’ll still hear that the reforming the GOP is still our best bet to “take back the country”. A third party merely serves to keep democrats in power.

I vote for it’s all the same.

Article V is really the only peaceable way to strip power from the Feds. Supporters will be attacked from all sides even worse than the Tea Party. The convention will be a runaway. We’ll never get 38 states on board. Blah, blah, blah, blah.

An Article V convention outcome is an unknown. That’s indisputable since we’ve never had one. What we have had is over two centuries of power grab by the Federal Government that started before the Constitution was ever ratified. We have tangible results to look at everyday to see how that has epically failed.

So take a minute and check out Article V. You just might find that any downside risk is miniscule especially compared to the current train wreck we have in place.
